Thinking Man

She loves me, she loves me not
I can not decide if this is food for thought
Is she worth my everyday?
Is she mine and will she stay?

Someday I hope to write a book based on this illustration. Inspired by The Adventures of Raggedy Ann and Andy movie. If you have seen the movie then you probably see the resemblance from the gate keeper of Loony Land. That movie is without a doubt one of the best movies I have ever seen. I am one of the few however who can sit through the whole thing. Apparently some people find it boring?

Biblical Facebook

Inspired by a claymation of Mark Twains version of Adam and Eve
Check it out on youtube (very strange and wonderful)
Mark Twain is a huge inspiration for a lot of my art because
his beliefs are outrageous and controversal.
My beliefs are simple.
I admire how he doesn't give a crap even when it offends people.
That is a true artist.
The man on the right is tempting the women on the left with a eggplant
Why a eggplant?
I love the color.
This painting is part of a eggplant series I did last summer

Pregnancy

My pumpkin is so very round
every week I gain a pound
My feet have grown twice their size
Curse those delicious pumpkin pies!

This picture was inspired by myself. At thirty six weeks pregnant I am very ready to pop a squat and give birth to my little precious watermelon

Aunt Judy

My Aunt Judy is an adventurous one
She lasso's her bulls after the yard work is done
She rides her horse all day with no fail
Aunt Judy does it all without breaking a nail

This picture was obviously inspired by my aunt Judy. I have never done a illustration based
on anyone before. This was actually originally a thank you card for my Aunt Judy for all she did at my wedding. The card turned out to be one of my dads favorites so I hung onto it and forgot to thank her. So Judy, if you are reading this... you do not go unappreciated and Mitchell and I are VERY grateful for everything you do for us. You kick butt!

Zio

Zio is an ocean queen

She has seen most everything
However she can't help but tear
Her one true love is lost I fear.

Zio was inspired by the Zora creatures on The Legend of Zelda- Twilight Princess video game. I was twelve weeks pregnant with my son and very sick. I played that game for hours on end and it resulted in several paintings. If your mind ever goes blank and you need inspiration, the land of the Zora's are always a good way to turn.

A very exhausting day!

Today was such an exhausting day
I worked so hard with little play

I ran out of laundry soap
and broke my favorite jumping rope

My hair ribbons would not tie
I seemed to have forgotten how to fly

But an etsy shop was opened for you
so I guess this whole day was not poo
